How Can I Prevent My Alias from being Counterfeited?

There is a small and very unlikely chance that you may begin to receive emails via an Alias, that was not of your creation.

As an example, in the case of sarahk, someone might begin sending her emails to her protected address, via an Alias of their own making, say sarahk.anything@lifebyfood.com. For this reason, SoodoNims© provides the protection of Keys.

A Key, is a code you create, that you insert anywhere in your Alias ID. If your secret Key is not found, then SoodoNims© will not allow it through. Lets follow this through an example.

Say sarahk creates in SoodoNims©, a Key "ines"

She can then create any Alias Address where "ines" is part of the Alias ID. So the following Alias Addresses would be valid:

sarahk.pinescent@lifebyfood.com

sarahk.finesoap@lifebyfood.com

sarahk.wrinestll@lifebyfood.com

To add further security, SoodoNims© allows an unlimited number of Keys, so you can mix them up.

Say sarahk also had "xr11" as a Key, then in addition to the Alias Addresses above, she could also use:

sarahk.avxr111@lifebyfood.com

By adding more than one Key, it is harder for someone to determine what the Key might be, and duplicate it.

Finally, SoodoNims© allows Keys to carry an expiry date. If you think at some point a Key has been compromised, then simply Expire it, by setting an Expiry Date. At that point, the Key will no longer be valid for any new incoming Alias Addresses, but will still work for previously created ones.

We do not recommend you add the Key feature unless you feel it solves a problem you are having. If you want to set up Keys, go to your Account Profile, edit the field that says "Enable Keys"
