When you want to email to stop coming!

When you've decided you no longer want to receive email from someone, the first thing that needs to be determined is which Alias Address is forwarding that mail. Click on the attachment that is forwarded by SoodoNims© with the email, and inside see which Alias Address is being used as the conduit.

Once that is determined, log into the SoodoNims© application and adjust either the Alias Address or the Domain that is sending to that Alias Address. See below for options to ending the mail.

  1. An Alias Address can be disabled by locating it in the Alias list, under the Alias menu item. Simply uncheck the "Enabled" box to prevent any further emails from being forwarded to you from that Alias. This may be re-enabled at anytime by checking the box. Mail will begin to flow again, from that time on. (No past emails will be received)

  2. Under the Alias function, locate the specific Alias Address. Set the "Maximum E-mails" that may be received. When that number is reached, the Alias Address will become inactive. It can be activated again by increasing the Maximum Email field.

  3. Under the Alias function, locate the specific Alias Address. Set the "Maximum Domains" that can forward mail to that Alias Address. When that number is reached, the Alias Address will become inactive. It can be activated again by increasing the Maximum Domain field.

  4. In the case where multiple senders are issuing emails to a single Alias Address, you can prevent emails being forwarded by disabling a specific domain (sender). In the Alias Function, locate the Alias Address in question. Click on the Alias Address to display all the domains forwarding emails to it. Disable the ones you want, by un-checking the Enabled box of the domain.

  5. In the case where an Alias Address is receiving from some wanted domains (senders), and you want to ensure no one else sends you email through that Alias, click on the edit icon (small pencil) in the Alias list, and perform an edit. Check the box that says "Disable future domain". Save the change. This will allow emails to be received from all active domains, but not from any new ones that may subsequently send you email. This maybe reversed at any time.

  6. Expire an Alias Address by setting the expiration date. Click on the edit icon for the Alias Address and set the expiration date for the email. After that date, the Alias will no longer allow emails to be forwarded. This may be reset at anytime.
